The Super Bowl

I think the Super Bowl advertising them because they pay more, or it's what people are more interested in. They usually just advertise something they think a lot of people would be interesting in buying, so they advertise them and pay more to have them played during the Super Bowl. They don't really care if it's good for you, they just want to advertise things that'll sell more, things that people would like.

Your vote!

I believe as an American Citizen, it's not important to vote, but then again it is. If everyone believed it wasn't important to vote no one would vote or not a lot of people would and no one would care, our world would be ruined! I didn't vote, I wasn't of legal age yet, *sigh*. But the president that I wanted to win, won. So maybe MY vote wouldn't have mattered, oh well. I wanted Obama to win for sure, I thought he'd do our country good, that our world and views would somewhat change for having him as a president, I personally didn't think Sarah Palin deserved to be the first female president if something happened to McCain. But I really didn't care, just the hopes of a new and better president would have made me happy.

Character.

I think in our society the word "Character" is now just another fancy word for "Image". We don't really look at a persons character to judge people now, we mainly look at what the person looks like. Take Abe Lincoln for example, he wasn't the best looking man in the entire world but he was a dang good president. But now-a-days, he'd never get elected for president by the way he looks. When the Presidential elections and debates started coming out on television that's when the word character just ment image. We've had some presidential candidates that would have been better than the president we got all because they didn't look as good. This world needs to remember what the word, "Character" came from and what it really means.

Downloading music.

I personally don't download music, but I know at least one person who does. Most (if not all) the people I know just download music and buy from Itunes. It doesn't affect my life, I'm not worried that some random person is going to knock at my door and hand me a letter saying I'm being sued or get anything in the mail since I don't do it. If I was a musician and people where illegally downloading my songs or albums, I'd feel both mad and happy, first I'd be happy because they are listening to it, but feel mad because they are doing it illegally and doing it for free and I wouldn't get any profit from it.

Me and Music

I remember when the King of Pop, Michael Jackson died, I was in Babbitt Mn at my grandpa's house. I was 18 years old at the time. I remember my dream people kept screaming "MICHAEL'S DEAD MICHAEL'S DEAD!" I woke up to the news and some man was saying "Michael Jackson died this morning." Even though he was more popular when my parents where teenagers. (Just thought I'd put it in here since it happened when I was a teenager.)

I mostly listened to rap, hip hop, and rock. Even though there was tons of different Genres of music back then like, Rap, Rock, Hip Hop, R&b, Emo, Screamo, Rock, Techno, Metal, Country, Pop. Theres more just not a lot more. The one concert I went to was N'SYNC, oh man was that fun, I was like 13 at the time but still fun. It was mainly my mom's idea to go. (Which was awesome for me because I love N'SYNC.)

The older generation either listened to old music or listened to what we listened to. But some people decided to blame the music we listened to on some things people did that where illegal. Some people acted out from the music not going to lie and say they didn't but it wasn't mainly the music like some people like to say it was. The music scene influences a lot though. Like for instances, hair, clothes, how people talk, and how people walk. Screamo bands pretty much influenced the tight jeans and shaggy hair, Techno influenced the neon colors to us. (Even though bright colors was in the 80's and 90's).

Rap and Hip hop where mainly just free verses of people rhyming and people selective dancing. Techno brought out more of the beats instead of the words. Some of us still listened to the alternative rock, but more of the new stuff instead of Nirvana (Big fan of Nirvana), the Cure, Violent Femmes, the Pixies, They Might Be Giants, Voice of the Beehive, and Nine Inch Nails. Our alternative rock is more of Paramore, Three doors down, Three days grace, Linkin Park, and similiar stuff to that. The alternative rock bands have majorly changed from the 90's and 80's.

I just hope that the music in the future doesn't suck, and when I have teenage children I can be one of those "Cool" moms that listen to their music. And they listen to some of the music I listened to that made a huge influence on my life.
